Not very pleasant service

Nice atmofer

Nice location in the Karlsruhe palace garden, but the staff met us extremely unfriendly and annoyed. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the positive comments for our experience.

Firstly, we were given extremely vague instructions, assuming that we knew where the table assigned to us without asking for a preference (since we would have preferred to sit inside). With an ice chocolate (the sweetest drink out of everyone surrounding us), we were seated right next to the flowers, causing there to always be 3-5 bees around our table and flying into our drink. On top of that, the staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful to us, and the drink was slightly overpriced. (P.S. We could speak decent German, therefore asking for our preferences would not have been a problem if they had thought about it)

Friendly People

I was here a year ago. It was unpleasant: the service was slow and gave an unkempt impression, the toilets were dirty (well, you don't always have that under control immediately). Pity!

We have had good experiences with it all round. Overall, everything fits, that's why we have given the full number of stars

Relaxed, quiet location. Nice staff and good food. The tap in the toilet is annoying.

You will get a table number where you are supposed to sit but somehow some customers do not stick to the number and take a sit wherever they want to sit. First of all i searched around my table and when i found my table some customers were already sitting there. So, i had to go to another empty table which was not mine. There should be better service in terms of giving seats.

Absolutely relaxed staff, cafeteria atmosphere with restaurant prices ... not recommended!

Absolutely fantastic guys. I really enjoy the whole experience. I came here at castle a couple of times . Once for a tour and I finished enjoying the caffetteria and the amazing cakes( what a variety!) and the other time I came back specifically for lunch .. staff was very friendly , food was great and the atmosphere was just lovely. Don’t miss out on this . Thanks for everything... see you next year

Nice tour at the castle and after a good coffee with black forset cake. Amazing cake! Ncie restaurant with gentile stuff. I can recommend it when you visit Karlsruhe city

Unfortunately you have to give a star! My wife and I were there on June 7th, 2020 around 4:25 pm and actually wanted to have a coffee and co. But because the "waitress" was so rude to the people in front of us and to a woman who only wanted to use the toilet, we preferred to go again. Being so unfriendly to strangers shows rather that one or the other should have left his gastro ... We then went to The Multi Kulti Bar. Very friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately, I cannot report on the food whether it was good or bad, as I was greeted extremely unfriendly by the staff at the entrance. Date: Jun 7, 2020 Time: around 4.20 p.m. My only question was whether there is a public toilet in the area. The answer was: "What else can I do? I can't do everything myself." - and further indistinct scolding and murmuring in a loud tone with my eyes rolled again and again directly to me. I would like to mention that the lady with the customers in front of me had a very friendly conversation and was also not alone, means more staff was present. I have worked and managed in the catering industry for 15 years. I know how exhausting and stressful this job can be. However, in my opinion, such people are simply in the wrong job. Therefore only one star.

Located on the right around the castle on the back. Nice place, for the location still surprisingly moderate prices. Italian cuisine, delicious and adequate portions. Service OK. There is also coffee and cake for the afternoon ... 👍🍷

Delicious food and a very friendly and attentive staff make the stay unforgettable. For those who appreciate good and home-made Italian cuisine, this restaurant is a must! Lovely again.

The cakes and the pasta here are very delicious and the service is friendly as well as fast. The prices are totally fine for what you get. I can only recommend going here, if you are in the vicinity

Food is ok, unfriendly staff for a family with kids.

Ordinary gnocchi with wild garlic pesto, the side salad but pasted with onion vinaigrette, a very middle cake (with little choice and a lot of cream cake) and an acceptable cappuccino and decent espresso. The older service was slow and never looked, if you wanted something, the younger service was very nice and fast. Total o.k. - but a bit expensive.
